Question from Glenn: Asked on 05/06/2010 Does the refrigerant need to be replaced? ie - does it consume anything or need to be refilled?

The refrigerant will last for the lifetime of the unit. Generally 3-5 years depending on usage. You can get them re gassed but generally its more cost effective to purchase a new one

Question from Mark Mitchell: Asked on 28/07/2008 Hi,

How effective would this unit be in a static caravan?

Thanks,

mark

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 28/07/2008
This would be ideal for a static caravan due to the enclosed space - as long as you run the hose to the outside via an open window or a vent.

Yes you can.

Question from KDY: Asked on 22/07/2008 Will the window attachment work in a vertical window? Mine is not horizontal as shown in pictures. Also the window is quite tall. How long is the extension?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 22/07/2008
The window attachment takes the round hose and narrows it to a letter box shape so it will work in both horizontal and vertical window systems.

Question from J: Asked on 10/06/2008 Does this come with attachments to be able to close the window with the vent out of it? Whats the contents in other words?
cheers

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 12/06/2008
Yes this unit comes with a complete fitting kit and 1.5m hose

Question from Mick: Asked on 22/07/2007 Is this a different product to the Amcor MF10000KM, as I have seen a comment about that being noisy?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 24/07/2007
It is very similar if not exactly the same. Although we have used this unit and it is very quiet, even on full speed.

Question from concerned_parent: Asked on 23/06/2007 can I hang this unit from the ceiling so the children can't touch it?

This unit has not been designed to ceiling mount so I would seriously advise against it.

Question from Ahmed: Asked on 07/06/2007 I know ideally we need to put the outlet pipe out of a window. But we have a small office without any windows. Can I put the exhaust hose out of the door into the stairwell?

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 07/06/2007
You can put the hose anywhere you wish outside of the room you are cooling. Remember that the hot air from that room is going to be transfered to whereever you put the hose.
Answer from Easycom: Answered on 07/06/2007
You are right - ideally you need a window to vent out the hot air and moisture. However as long as the stairwell has plenty of ventilation so it doesnt get too hot, this will be fine.

Question from Amcor MF10000E: Asked on 03/06/2007 How Noisy is this unit?

This unit is particularly quiet at just 27.5 dB

Question from Paul: Asked on 30/05/2007 Will this work as a dehumidifer only (ie without cooling?)

Answer from Easycom: Answered on 05/06/2007
Yes, this unit does work as a dehumidifier. If you don’t want cooling, simply set the thermostat to room temperature and the moisture will be removed. The unit also removes dust, odours and bacteria from the air as it is circulated around the room, maintaining a healthy environment for your home or office. However if are in a room with no windows or you are concerned about leaving a window open, you could buy a lt;A HREF=
